After the Winter Storm
The Shore sparkles, scrubbed clean
By Ocean’s spray and
Winter’s gales.
Aquamarine
Transparencies of
Skies washed
Pale blue,
Dilute a
Water coloured
Ocean.
Inseparable Mutuality,
Blended, Convergent,
Innocent integration,
Forest and Sea,
Sand and Sky,
Subtly nuanced reflections
Of a state that still exists
Somewhere beyond
The Excesses of our Corrupting hands,
Still resisting
The Midas touch of humanity
Which puts
Everything in the service of its
Insatiable appetites.
