Note that there are 2 entries for Agnes Girven (sic) indicating that she was 1 year old in 1832, that she was ‘creole’, that she was ‘Quadroon’ and that her mother’s name may have been Ann Thomas and that was ‘manumitted’, set free from slavery. How generous and outrageous were the authorities to grant freedom to a one year old child!!!
